JUST WONDERING IF THESE WILL HELP MY ROCKY MOUNTAIN HORSE. I HAVE CAVALLOS SIMPLE BOOTS AND RENEGADE BOOTS AND THEY BOTH CHAF HIM ON HIS HEELS AAND PASTERNS.ANY SUGGESTIONS WELCOME.
ReplyDeleteTHE SIZES ON BOTH ARE CORRECT.
Well, I love my Easyboot Gloves. The boot itself doesn't come up above the hoof wall anywhere, so there's no rubbing of her coronet band or heel. I haven't ridden her longer than about 4 or 5 hours with it yet, but the gaiter has never rubbed or chaffed her in any way. It's made with a smooth surface and a dual layer of neoprene. It hardly even ruffles her hair. I have read where some people who were endurance riders, riding 25, 50, or 100 mile rides sometimes had trouble with rubbing, but that's more extreme than I'd ever ride so it's never been a problem for me. The few endurance riders that had rubbing issues either used knee hi panty hose under it, or wrapped the pasterns with vet wrap and that usually took care of the problem. Hope that helps. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask....
