Hunting allowed here during hunting seasons.

Directions:

From Kansas City, take I-35 north to Hwy 92 west.  Drive to Hwy E, turn north.  Follow Hwy E to the park entrance and turn left toward the camping area.  Continue on to the guard house.  The camping area, also for day use parking, is past the guard house in campsites 1-90.

Miles of Trails:
26 mile multiple loops.

Trail Notes:
This trail system has had a lot of work done to it in the last several years.  Trail markers are T-posts with orange, white, or orange and white markers.  All of the posts with horseshoes on top are being replaced with the T-posts.  The trail has three elements:  A shoreline trail which is marked in orange, a boundary trail, which is marked with white, and a combined trail which is marked with both orange and white.  The trail is hilly and has several stream and gully crossings, but it is a well maintained trail.

Other Trail Users:
Hikers, Cross Country Skiers in the winter, and hunters.
