Trail Notes:
Narrow single track with a dirt trail tread. Some areas are a tight squeeze between trees. Trail routed to minimize erosion but due to the soil type and terrain, it would be easily eroded in wet conditions. St. Charles County Parks Department closes this trail when too wet, so call the number listed above to verify the trail is open. The trail winds through small wooded areas and across large pastures, some of which are undergoing prairie restoration. This trail would be very hot and sunny in the summer. There are a couple of small creek crossings to negotiate. This trail is also used heavily by bicyclists, hikers, and joggers, and runs alongside private property. One section of the trail is next to a barbed wire fence, located approximately five feet off the trail.
Other Trail Users:
Hikers & mountain bike riders.
