Flag Spring Conservation Area Roads

Missouri Dept of Conservation

Location:
Barry & MacDonald Counties

News, Updates, & Warnings:
Open to hunters during hunting seasons.

Directions:
From Joplin, take Hwy 71 south for about 41 miles to Hwy 90, turn east.  Follow Hwy 90 for 23 miles to Hwy UU.  Turn northwest on Hwy UU and go 1.6 miles to the first public gravel road and turn left.  A Flag Spring Conservation Area Sign is there to help you find it.  There are 3 good equestrian trailheads in the first 3 miles of that road.

Miles of Roads:
15 miles, more or less, of riding.

Trail Notes:
This area is not difficult to ride, due to the fact that they are all gravel roads, but there are some steep hills to climb.  You can ride the trails in the area, but few of the trails are marked, many are faint, over-grown, and easy to get lost on.  There's also no map of the designated multi-use trails.

Other Activities:
Hikers, mountain bike riders, and hunters.
