Directions:
North Trailhead: From St. Louis, take I-44 West to the Stanton exit #230 (Highway JJ and W). Turn Right at the top of the ramp onto JJ. Follow JJ until it curves around sharply to the right. At this curve, there is a triangle intersection with Acid Mine Road (paved). Turn Left on Acid Mine Road and go until you get to Luechtefeld Rd. Turn Right on Luechtefeld Road (now paved) and follow the curve to the right. Follow the road around the corner to the left. The road looks like it goes straight ahead, but it changes to gravel and becomes a private driveway. After turning left, follow the road up and down a few hills to where the road ends at a stop sign at Ridge Road (now paved). Turn right on Ridge Road and go to the lot on your left. About 1/4 mile before the horse trailer lot, there is a very small car parking lot.

Trail Notes:
This trail is a multi-use trail that has a wide corridor that is clear and easy to follow. Terrain is gently rolling with no overly steep hills to negotiate. A couple of wet weather creeks to cross and maybe some downfall, but no real other hazards. Not a lot of wildlife to see. The northern end is more scenic than the southern end, but the southern end would be great for loping or gaiting through.
