Directions:
Ottery Creek Trailhead: From Potosi, take Hwy 21 south to Hwy 32. Go west on Hwy 32 to Hwy A, turn south. Drive on Hwy A, pass the sign that points to the left for Bell Mountain. Continue on Hwy A to the parking area which is just past the second Ottery Creek bridge on the right.

12 mile lineal and loop.
Equestrian Camping:
Yes, primitive disbursed camping along the trail.
There is not enough room at the trailhead to camp there.
Trail Notes:
The trail is sparsely marked with white diamonds. It's a well traveled and easy to follow trail corridor, but there are a number of illegal, non-marked trails that can make it difficult to find your way around, especially heading from the loop back towards Ottery Creek Trailhead. Some areas become steep and rugged. The view from the top of Bell Mountain is awesome. Summertime heat can become oppressive and with the lack of water along the trail, it might be better ridden in the spring, fall, or fair weather in the winter. This area has a lot of snakes, including copperheads and rattlesnakes.
Other Trail Users:
Hikers and hunters. This is a wilderness so there should never be any mountain bikes here.
