Trail Notes:
This trail is well marked with gray diamonds and yellow blazes that is easy to follow.  Most of it that we saw was two track that is overgrown and weedy.    A small part of the main trail is gravel road riding.  There are steep hills and rocky terrain to negotiate, as well as some creeks, low water crossings, a bridge, and pavement to cross.  This trail connects to the trail system at Lake Wappapello State Park and also to the Wappapello Lake Section of the Ozark Trail.  Over the last 5 years, many miles that were previously classed as trails are now classed as gravel roads.

North trailhead has a couple rickety hitch rails.  South trailhead has a couple picnic tables and hitch rails.  The hitch rails are small and not very sturdy, I wouldn't tie to them unless your horse stands tied quietly and with patience.
