Location:

News, Updates, & Warnings:
No hunting allowed here.

Directions:
From Jefferson City, take Hwy 54 south to Hwy 42, turn east.  Follow Hwy 42 until you come to Hwy 134.  There is a State Park Sign there.  Hwy 134 leads you right into the park.  Pass the park's trail information center and go to the equestrian parking on your left.

Miles of Trails:
17 miles total

Equestrian Camping:
Not Allowed.

Trail Notes:
The north loop is marked with green arrows, the south loop is marked with red arrows.  There are several interior connector trails marked with white.  The trail corridor is well marked and is easy to follow due to a lot of use.  It's rough, rocky, has several steep hills, and has drop off or bluffs next to the trail in some places.  Make sure your horse is in pretty good shape.  The scenery is beautiful.  There's a Civil War era cemetery along the trail.  I don't know why it has this problem, but it seems to be known far and wide as being exceptionally bad for ticks.

Other Trail Users:
Hikers.
