Calhoun Trailhead:  From Sedalia, take Hwy 65 south to Hwy 52.  Turn west on Hwy 52 and go to Calhoun.  In Calhoun, look for Olive Road and follow to the trailhead.

Miles of Trail:
26.5 Mile point to point.

Trail Notes:
The only trailheads available for equestrians to park at are the Fairgrounds trailhead and the trailhead in Calhoun.  The two trail sections combined as one, starts in Sedalia and ends in Clinton.
Extremely easy, wide, flat, open, chat surfaced rail bed.  Trail is shared with hikers, bikers, dogs, families with little kids running around, and babies in strollers.  The biggest hazard here, as with any trail that seems so easy, is not to lose focus and "ride" your horse, not just be a "passenger".  Don't take your safety for granted as, that's when you're most likely to get hurt.

Other Trail Users:
Hikers and bike riders.
