Directions:
Berryman Campground: From St. Louis, take I-44 west to Hwy N in Bourbon. Go west on Hwy N to Hwy W. Go south on W and drive past Brazil Creek Campground, continue up the hill, turning left on FR 2265. Follow FR 2265 until you come to CR 207, turn right. Follow CR 207 to the Berryman Campground entrance on the right.
Hazel Creek Campground: From Potosi, take Hwy P south to Hwy C, turn west. Drive to Hwy Z and turn north, following until you get to the campground.

Equestrian Camping:
Yes, at both the Berryman and Hazel Creek Campgrounds as well as primitive dispersed camping.
Trail Notes:
The Courtois Section starts in the Huzzah Conservation Area, where equestrian use is not permitted on the Ozark Trail. The trail then goes into the Mark Twain National Forest where the remainder of the trail is open to equestrian use. The trail runs concurrent with most of the western half of the Berryman Trail, so watch for the trail signs and markers indicting where the Ozark Trail turns off and away from the Berryman. The trail has steep, rocky sections and water crossings. Water should not be crossed during high water. The southern end is more difficult than the northern end. This section is well traveled, with heavy bike use on the portion of the trail that is concurrent with Berryman. There are also numerous forest roads intersecting the trail and ATV use is common on them.
